Below is a direct quote we received from customer who is using the largest wrap. It is a large food production plant in the midwest. The customer needed to use a very expensive hose that ended up having an interal defect but they were very happy with the wrap.
"Please order as much hose wrap as we need to cover all of our hoses. It is very possible that without this wrap we would have been replacing this hose for external wear before we even found the issue with the internal surface wear (defect)."
They are now ordering wrap to go on every one of these hoses.

Spiral wrap vs nylon sleeve
The pictures above are from service trucks that just came in from doing service work in the field. The top picture shows "Pig'stail" protective wrap after it has been dragged on the ground and the bottom picture shows nylon sleeve after the same application.
Which product would you rather use to protect your hose?

Glow in the dark wrap
The picture above is our new glow in the dark wrap "Niteglow". It is charged by sunlight or fluorescent light and can hold a charge for up to 8 hours. The length of the glow is related to how long it is in the light and how much light it is getting.
It is useful for identifying hoses and cables at night.
Some uses are for airport fueling hose, ship yards, oil rigs, mining and logging. It is a brand new product with many more applications than just protecting hose.

Construction equipment application

This picture shows a CAT backhoe in the field. There is clear wear on the hoses prior to being covered. One of the advantages of "Pig's Tail" protective wrap is that it can be applied onto the hose without disconnecting anything. It can also be wrapped on alternating hoses so that one hose rubs on the wrap rather than another hose.

propane hose

This picture was taken at a propane truck filling station. The hose between the truck and the filling tank hangs off the truck and rubs against the ground during filling. "Pig's Tail" protective wrap is used to protect the hoses from wearing out.
Part number R75SSG is used in this case and it fits a little loose. The customers prefer it loose so D.O.T. inspectors can easily move the wrap to inspect the hose.
applications for "Pig's Tail"
There are two main purposes for "Pig's Tail" protective wrap, to protect hoses from external abrasion or to bundle a group of hoses.

new products
We're launching some new versions of "Pig's Tail" protective wrap this year. We will be adding a 5" and 6" O.D. to our line.
We will also be launching a glow in the dark version. It can be used in any application where they are working at night like on an oil rig. It is charged by sunlight or regular light and will hold a charge up to 8 hours. We are the only ones in the world with this product so it gives us a jump on the competition. There's more applications with it than just protection and it can be used to identify hoses, wires, cables that couldn't be seen in the dark.
We will be coming out with pricing soon for the larger sizes and "Nightglow".

Bakersfield story

We gave this wrap to one of our distributors to use as a sample to help build a relationship with this (soon to be happy) customer. Our distributor wasn't able to sell anything to the customer prior to this test. He brought this as a way to finally get in the door. The customer was so happy with the wrap he started to buy it and all of his hose and fittings from our distributor. One small sample led to a very large account for our distributor.
